Warm up your winter with timber

Timber adds warmth and tactile quality to spaces. With exceptional craftsmanship and simple, uncomplicated design, our timber furniture allows the beauty of wood to come the fore. Here are nine of our favourite pieces that bring warmth to any interior.
Sean Dix’s Casatua daybed has a striking minimalist form with an exposed frame and curved armrests. The solid wood base and back are available in American white oak or American walnut, and its moulded plywood armrests have a matching veneer finish. Casatua can be configured as a sofa or daybed and its luxuriously soft cushions are upholstered in brown and warm-grey fabric, with additional options available for custom orders.
Fameg’s Arcos Armchair has a strong cubist form with angled armrests to easily slide beneath a dining table. Designed by Studio STROOG, the armchairs are made from solid European Oak and available in natural, walnut, stain or paint finishes. Optional seat upholstery is available in a wide range of fabrics, leather and vinyl.
Studio STROOG also designed Arcos Table ST-1403 with angular, tapered legs. The slim table top can be extended with two slot-in panels, which a hidden wire and pulley system locks into place. The table is available in two sizes that extend from 1600 to 2300 mm and 1800 to 2600 mm.
With tapered, tripod legs and a slender triangular seat, Finn Stool has subtle hints of mid-century modern design. Made from solid European beech with a natural finish, Finn Stool is available in three heights (750mm, 670mm, 460mm) with the two taller stools having a powder-coated steel footrest.
Lolli by m.a.d. combines plywood and upholstered seats with metal and timber frames. Offering beautiful and functional simplicity, Lolli has a simple moulded seat atop a minimal frame available with a metal-rod sled base or timber four-legged option.
Reminiscent of classic Shaker furniture, Spindle presents traditional craftsmanship in a contemporary context. The chair and bar stool have turned tapered elements, concealed joints and a timeless aesthetic.
Sean Dix’s Slide Casegoods collection, which includes a sideboard, media unit and shelving, is built with dark American Walnut and has a mid-century-inspired aesthetic. The graphic composition of rectangular elements plays with solid, void and proportion, combining open shelves and sliding-panel door.
Opposites attract in the Qie Pendant by Bentu as warm and cold materials are harmoniously paired. The pendant has a bamboo base with recycled concrete shade, and is a beautiful addition on its own, or in multiples to form a striking linear arrangement or chandelier.
