We are proud to introduce Remodern Limited, a unique curation of our most innovative and artistically driven designs. Comprised of four exclusive, made-to-order collections, Remodern Limited sits beyond the horizons of contemporary art and design. It offers a stark reimagining of creative conventions, transforming quotidian materials into novel concepts and startling new ideas.

Whilst each collection within our Limited range is uniquely articulated, together, they share a singular vision. They exemplify Remodern’s devotion to experimentalism, whilst also serving as a unique expression of our brand.

“The Limited pieces are bold and unapologetic, unique and nonconforming," Remodern Director and Founder Jen Schilbach says. “They all have an individual character that poses questions to the beholder, creating a sense of wonder and surprise.”

Remodern Limited showcases exclusive work from Buzao, whose exploratory design philosophy embraces the unknown elements of true experimentation and allows discovery to guide outcome, and Marcus Piper, who challenges the essence of design by transforming digital art into physical objects. What connects these designers is their tendency to surprise, and their proclivity for the unexpected.

Bringing their work together does more than create an elevated curation of beautiful artistry, it pushes the bounds of creativity.

Remodern Limited is a narrative about the uncertainties and ambiguities of human perception. Not only does it initiate insightful conversations, it reveals an even deeper appreciation for progressive design. Currently, Remodern Limited includes:

HOT Collection

Experimenting with an array of even more vivacious colours, Buzao has transformed simple, timeless designs into a colourful array of pieces that enliven and electrify their surroundings.

Hot includes a bench, pedestal, table and side table, each manufactured from electroplated stainless steel which is formed into contemporary sculptures.

It is the austerity and materiality of the Hot Collection that makes it so captivating. “The simplicity of its form, a common rectangular extrusion being repeated and layered, allows the unique iridescent finish of the stainless steel to steal the show,” Jen says.

HALO Collection

Featuring a console, display case, display unit, floor lamp, light, mirror and side table, the Halo pieces by Buzao are made from layers of laminated dichroic glass. The translucent quality of the glass paired with the expert manipulation of light adds an element of drama and intrigue to each piece and produces a hypnotic colour scheme.

Red-to-blue gradients are intermingled with vibrant, ephemeral shades of yellow, purple, orange and pink. These colours, juxtaposed with the modern, geometric shape of each design, contribute to their enigmatic presence.

Structural Clue

A conceptual masterpiece, Buzao’s Structural Clue unites the digital and physical worlds. The coffee table, round side table and square side table have all been made with a powder-coated stainless-steel base paired with a marble surface.

Black, green, gold and orange marble panels are skilfully arranged to form an intriguing design reminiscent of a pixelated digital image.

The collection represents an abstract interplay between virtual and physical building blocks, blurring the line between two different realities.

“Structural Clue is an incredibly interesting concept,” says Jen. “When presented with a pixelated version of a familiar object, our minds try to create a coherent picture of what the stone surface is trying to depict. It’s almost like seeing a piece of a larger puzzle and imagining what the bigger picture is.”

ITER 01

Comprised of brutalist graphic patterns, Marcus Piper challenges the way we see the world with ITER 01. Designed digitally and finished in concrete, the pieces appear slightly different from each angle. Anyone that views ITER 01 is bound to see something slightly different – depending on the light, their viewpoint, or even what mood they’re in.

This effect is enhanced when the pieces are displayed outdoors; the movement of the sun throughout the day changes how light and shadows are cast across it, allowing a static, physical object to be ever-changing and evolving before our eyes.

Remodern has paved the way toward creativity and experimentation in the contemporary design industry, and our exclusive collections are at the forefront of this change.

“Our hope is to continue to intrigue and amaze,” Jen says. “There is some superb talent out there and we’re always inspired and excited at the prospect of forming new relationships and seeing what comes of it.”

Fiercely experimental and unmistakably Remodern, Limited is both corporeal and elusive.
